So I’ve been routinely checking the Apple Store app for the IP13PM like multiple times a day. Have seen a couple of them in gold, silver and 512GB models I am not interested in. Does the app represent actual store stock? Or is there more stock for straight walk-in people?

Whatever you can purchase online is what the store has available for purchase. Walk-in gets access to the same stock. If you see one you want online, purchase it before going to the store--otherwise it may be gone by the time you get there. There may be some low stock situations where they pull it from the website but still have a couple for walk-in, but I doubt it. Apple wants to sell phones.

No for sure I am looking online to purchase and pick up. I was just wondering if there was stock for walk-ins separately from what was shown online.

(Canada - BC) The Apple Store rep told me that yes the online stock and the walk in stock is separate but not by much. He showed me his tablet that showed the iPhone 13 model availabilities. So if it's green on his tablet then there's stock online and at the store for walk-ins. If the colour is yellow then there's no more online availability but they might have like 5 or 6 extras for walk-ins. They get shipments every day, but online availability is only updated at 12PM.

I’ve found that there is usually walk-in only stock which does not show up in the online store. At least for the first few days of launch.

Once the store stock level get to <10 (depending on item) then it shows as out of stock for online>store pickup.

Will stores get stock or am I better off ordering online for shipping?
I want it before a trip in mid October. Shipping times right now are late October early November

Check the Apple Upgrade Peogram stock - they appear throughout the day, simply reserve and when you arrive at your specified window, they'll let you lay by card.

When I ordered my 13 Pro Sierra Blue 256 on launch day for store pickup, stock showed up around 730-745AM. Not sure when it updates now but I do see allow stock everywhere. Wow! Glad I pulled the trigger then. I found another website that’s useful to track stock, too: https://iphonechecker.herokuapp.com

id say order one for shipping but keep checking your local. You wont be charged until your item is preparing to ship. So if you are able to fine one for store pick up in the mean time then cancel the one for the one you ordered for shipping

I saw that site, doesn’t look like there is a way to get an alert when stocks pops as I remember before in other releases. Checking routinely through your the day needs some good luck.
