I thought that was a Thanksgiving thing. But sweet! Shame there's nothing I want to buy at the mo - I'm using my Touch(right NOW) and I have no money for a MBP and Cinema Display until January when they're "due" anyway.
what sortve discounts can we expect? im looking to buy an apple wired keyboard/mouse...and maybe MS office/iwork?
Don't know but wouldn't but MS Office just yet, Mac:Office 2008 should be out early next year.
I would buy MS Office, there's a free upgrade to 2008.
Well... "for the cost of shipping, handling & applicable tax" rather than "free"
Anyone know if the sale is likely to include software price reductions as well as hardware? I might be persuaded to get iWork if the price drops...
The picture accompanying the promotion seems to indicate discounts on software, hardware and accessories
no ****, sherlock
Why are you even chiming in on this thread you clueless muppet. We pay near 18% tax on anything, it could turn out being a pretty significant thing to point out you were wrong saying FREE
Can't wait to get my MBP before i head off for Christmas, an extra 50ish pounds off is nothing brilliant but it's 50£ all the same
Yeah, Aus as well. Hoping for some bargains.
Bet they don't include the iPhone
I am pretty sure they have already excluded them and touches
Can't be bothered to search the forum for last year's deals but IIRC there were reasonable savings on the MacBooks and iMacs but not Pro machines and very small savings on the iPods.
I'm trying to wait for Rev B of the Alu iMac but this sale could be the the tipping point for me ordering a new 2.8Ghz iMac. I've got a voucher to get £23 off which expires 30/11, plus 3% off using Quidco and hopefully the £60 rebate on the printers offer is still on that day.
This could be the "perfect storm" of savings!
Does anyone know if AppleCare is also discounted?
I have it on good authority that both the iPod and iPhone will be included in this sale. 25 minutes to see if my source is right or not.
Edit: personally, I am skeptical of this but posted it for interests sake.
I quite fancy a Final Cut Express if they have anything off it.
Hmm... I thought the initial press release had initially ruled out iPhones... but perhaps the continued reporting of the lack of sales is encouraging otherwise...
UK Store down as of 00:10
Was down for me since 00.01
You'd have thought being a major international billion dollar company someone would have the brains to have thought about getting the pages ready before the actual sale had begun, but hey that's just me.
Bet you it won#t be bacl for a couple of hours.
It says it will be back at 00.01 GMT which is in 16 minutes but it seems apple doesn't realise that the UK isn't on GMT, school boy error.
Indeed, Greenwich expects UTC. Though it usually takes VMS to get this geeky about timekeeping.
