iPad Apple Store US - Network Carrier

I am planning to order an iPad Air on the US Apple Store Website and have it sent to a friends house in the USA. I will not use this iPad in the US.

I will be ordering a WiFi & Cellular model and as an option it asks you to select a network carrier so your iPad can be configured to operate with that carrier.

As I will not be using the iPad in the US, does this make any difference to me or is there a particular carrier that I should select?

Any of them should work fine. The only difference is that the iPad air will ship with a SIM card from the carrier you select.

If you want to be extra cautious, select Verizon. But any of them should work.
