15.1.1? Why not update it to 15.6?
I wish I hadn’t - I’m seeing huge battery drain with 15.6 and genius say because my battery is in good health there is nothing they can do for me except advising me to hold tight and wait for the next update - Typical Apple

An intelligent manager in Apple HQ has just updated the Support Document...

Check your hardware

On an iPhone 6 or later, check your battery health under Settings > Battery > Battery Health.
If your battery doesn't need service, and your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch continues to frequently restart or turn off, contact Apple Support.
If your apps quit unexpectedly, learn what to do.
If your device has a frozen screen, doesn't respond, or becomes stuck when you turn it on, learn what to do for iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Rather than waste your time with the above, buy yourself a nice Samsung phone.
You do know Samsung/android phones also bootloop and crash....

15.1.1? Why not update it to 15.6?
Because an iPhone 13 pro on 15.1.1 is already pretty rare and is going to get even rarer later down the line, also if an iOS 15 jailbreak comes out, it will likely only support 15.1.1 and below (especially for a15)

My phone restarted twice in the middle of the night today and yesterday. Newest iOS 16 beta, iPhone 13. I hope it’s iOS and not the phone.

You’re on a beta so it’s probably iOS 16 causing it

One of the big reasons I'm so proud to be an Apple customer is their unwavering commitment to serving the needs of all us - be it the production of industry-leading products, software updates, best-in-class hardware support, expert repair, and going the extra mile for each and every one of us.

this reads like it's straight from Apple PR, almost too cringey to read lol.

that being said, glad they are making it easier for techs to do their jobs.

Here we go again. We'll need to run Geekbench after the next iOS release, to make sure our phones aren't suddenly throttling by 50%

Isn't the maximum 2 years from purchase?
Nope, after the two years expired I had 30 days to renew it and it goes month to month until I cancel it.

It could be a carrier configuration issue. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201270

I’ll save you the trouble of calling AppleCare. Back up all the data you wish to keep and reset the phone to factory. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201252
I’ve always accepted carrier updates.

The problem with factory reset or even a dfu is I don’t have WiFi at my location, only cellular and have over 300 apps installed on my device. It would take a month of sundays to restore the apps. Not looking for a weekend being down.

Do they have this diagnostic tool for iPads too? I’ve got an appointment in an hour at the local newly mask-free Apple Store for an iPad that is doing something similar.

Holy crap, I was JUST in the Apple Store yesterday and a customer was complaining about his iPhone restarting. I was there to get replacement AirPods and this guy kept butting into my conversation with the Genius. I hope he got his issue resolved.
I don't believe this in any way, shape, or form. Why do some feel such a need to lie?

I definitely believe it. Some people are so rude. I was at Dorney Park a while back, and someone butted right in front of me to complain about the receipt not printing rigth. They said it would take a sec, but it was at least five minutes of them complaining over and over.

But it's the year 2022, I haven't had a phone just randomly restart on me since like 2014. It's like an automobile manufacturer who comes up with a diagnostic tool for transmission slippage of their vehicles, when the vehicle only has 22,000 miles on it. This issue shouldn't be happening in the first place. Now it's giving off "smoke and mirrors" that they care "soooo much about quality." I think they care sooo much about issues because they almost have to.

LOL. I am not sure what I would gain by lying. It happened in the Williamsburg Apple Store on Tuesday. If I wanted to lie I’d probably inject a celebrity into it.

How many years have Ford been building engines for their cars? They still can’t figure out how to keep the fire inside the cylinders. Quality is Job 1!
