Starting today, April 24, Apple Stores around the world are giving away a special pin for free to customers who request one, while supplies last.

The enamel pin's design is inspired by the Global Close Your Rings Day award in the Activity app, which Apple Watch users can receive by closing all three Activity rings today. The limited-edition pin is the physical counterpart to that digital award.

To receive the pin, simply visit an Apple Store and ask an employee about it. We were able to receive the pin without having our Activity rings closed yet today, so that does not appear to be a requirement, but your mileage may vary.

Given that Apple says the pin is only available while supplies last, keep in mind that some stores might already be out of them.

Here is what Apple said about the pin in a press release:The original Apple Watch launched 10 years ago today, on April 24, 2015, so the pin is a tiny momento of the anniversary.

Here is what Apple Watch chief Jeff Williams said about the 10-year anniversary:If you received the pin, feel free to share a photo in our forums.

Got my pin yesterday! Apparently not all of the staff had heard of it and they were shocked when I came in and asked for one. The woman said, “how in the world did you find out about this?”. My response was I’ve read Maximo’s everyday since I starting working at Apple 15 years ago lol

Does anyone's local Apple Store still have these pins
I am planning to fetch one with a new band and wanted to know if there is a possibility they still have one
I’m planning to stop by after the draft tomorrow or on Sunday (I regularly go to  stores that day), too.

You can call the Apple Store for details

They did special fitness+ challenges with prizes just for those too?

This kind of stuff is interesting to me. I still have the shirt and thank you card I got when I tried and failed spectacularly doing Apple care support. I know I wouldn't have been able to close all my rings for a whole month if I'd been able to do the challenge.
These are internal competitions through the publicly available Challenges app in the AppStore. Apple uses it internally for employee only fitness challenges. Mats were just for Fitness+ internal users who participated in dedicated workouts.

The anniversary bands were internal only, there was no competition and they were given out to selected teams.

I did too but did not get one. I suspect is was because I did 3 separate workouts that combined for over 30 minutes, but each workout was less than 30 minutes
That happened to me for the earth day one but I realised I had a walk around school during the earth day fair and also led my booth so I manually logged it on the Health app, and I got the badge.

My fitness + workout was combined half an hour long for that day’s Stack too, but the dance video was 20 minutes long, 5 minutes core and 10 minutes on yoga 🧘 class

Cool! 👌🏻 put it on your hat or on your bag. 💼 I wished I could be able to get it and put it on my swag. 😎

I went to my local Apple Store over the weekend, which is about 20 minutes away from me.

I spoke to five different people there, and they checked everywhere, even the drawers and back rooms. They all said that all the close your rings Apple Watch anniversary pins were given away, and the last one was the day before I went.

I was about to get an extra one for my friend too. Even when I asked the specialist with the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in front of the store, he knew I really deserved that pin after I showed him my activity rings and the award on my iPhone . He understood my feelings when he broke the news to me that they were out. He checked everywhere for a long time and said for me to ring the Apple Store 45 minutes away to check availability.

I rang them and the other nearest Apple Store the lady picked up the phone right away and straight out after I asked them about it that they were out all since day one - Thursday last week.
