I think I’ve got a problem with the latest 16.4 upgrade. It’s taken over an hour and a half and it’s downloaded the software via M1 MacBook Air but it just seems to keep looping around. It has the three white buttons in the middle pulsating abd the message on the screen says “Do not unplug your display while it’s updating. This make take a few minutes” and then it periodically goes to the screen of death. Then the MacBook makes the bleep that you get when you connect power, the three white buttons come up and start pulsating again. Then a few Minutes later I get the screen of death again

Solved the issue. Apparently other people have had this problem in the past and it’s because of other devices plugged into the studio display. I removed the USB cables plugged into the back for my other devices so that I just had the Mac book and the Apple Studio Display connected via thunderbolt. I then switched off the monitor for 2 mins to power cycle it and powered down my MacBook and then switched them both on, and the update continued, and then two minutes later the display spring back into life.
