Hi all, recently got a apple studio display
Running it with a MacBook air M2.

Unfortunately the 2 screens have slightly different colours - the apple studio display being warmer.

There is also no identical colour profile for both of them.

Apple studio display is running Apple Display P3, while MBA M2 is running Display P3 / Colour LCD (but neither has same colour as apple studio display)

Any advice? Thank you!

Are you using the Studio Display gen 2, or the one released back in 2022?

If it's the newer release, it's possible that the panel itself is just different. Just so you have some context, I have an iMac M1 and a MacBook Air M1, and both screens look exactly the same, no difference at all. Then a few months ago my iMac M1 started having that flickering screen issue, so I decided to buy a new one, the iMac M4. But on this M4, the screen is slightly "warmer." I tried matching the settings exactly to what's on my MacBook Air M1, but nothing made a difference, the screen is just warmer right out of the box. I also found other people experiencing the same thing I did.

If it's the newer unit released in 2026, it's possible Apple's tuning this year is just different, or the panel quality itself differs from previous products, maybe Apple also switched vendors for this display panel.
