Apple Supplier Broadcom Expecting iPhone Launch Delays

I'm more interested in WWDC'20 and what's in store for iOS 14. New models doesn't excite me anymore, we have 3-4 years with pretty much the same model with minimal improvements and even the years when they do re-designs it's not anything special.

Apple is not to blame here, don't get me wrong. The cell phone market as a whole has become so mature that there isn't much more you can do to make things exciting. Things become slightly better every year, which is great, but the time where we get huge leaps and new exciting changes are long gone.

But there is still much that can be done when it comes to the software. So I'm always eager to see what's next and hopefully iOS 14 will bring some exciting new features and improvements.

It will be an interesting period to watch. I don’t think it will sell well by Apple standards, but it will be an amount that other manufacturers will envy to have. For me, when see stories that my iPhone X is even more powerful than the latest Samsung Galaxy 20 Ultra; I don’t see the necessity in upgrading. On top of that, I’m sure the X will get iOS 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and possibly 20.

I'm imagining somewhere slightly above the Xs/Xs Max/XR sales figure since it is still a major redesign, and redesigns have repeatedly proven to defy sales expectations. But you are right that people will be way less inclined to spend money on new gadgets in general.

The 2021 iPhone sounds like it will be way better anyway.

I'm pretty sure the 2022 iPhone will be way better than the 2021 model. Oh, and 2022 will be way better than the 2021 model. Should I also note that the 2023 iPhone will be better than the 2022 model?

Make no mistake, those weren't protesters, those were anarchists. And some were protesters fueled by anarchists. People naturally get along. But people get fueled by hate and things get out of control.

The key to what I said is "way" better. As in significantly better. I doubt the 2022 iPhone will be significantly better than the 2021. Was the iPhone XS significantly better than the iPhone X? No, it was not. Was the iPhone X significantly better than the iPhone 7? Yes, it was. 2021, according to rumors, sounds like a major redesign year with the removal of the notch and some insane photography specs.

"'way better" is very subjective based on individual user usage. So whatever you think is no way better, could be way better to other people.
