Lots of people work those hours in the USA……
It doesn’t mean they are actually working though. They may be in standby statuses and not being productive per se.
I'm glad that they're getting a pay raise,
they'll be able to afford more lollipops and ribbons,
and whatever else the little girls who make iPhones buy, haha.

I mean actual work. Not like shift work or standby or what executives call 'working' lol.
I mean doing work, doing your job breaking ONLY for allowed breaks or lunches.

Because it’s not economically feasible to reengineer the supply chain, and still keep the costs reasonable…would be my guess.
Foxconn is better than average. They've installed nets to catch people jumping off the roof.
