Unbelievable

I logged in to add AppleCare support today and I was told they needed to run a diagnostic on my watch

so I told them go ahead

they asked me to turn on privacy and diagnostics & usage and automatically send which was already on.

Anyways they ran the test and approved the AppleCare enrolment for my watch

so with all done he approved it

But unfortunately the "start diagnostics with apple support" is still there in my settings and he can't get rid of it.

And every time I tried to turn it off it tells me this will actively turn off collecting data from my watch.

So he checked and it seems his system is continually sending the signal to my device (WTF?!?) and he doesn't know how to resolve it.

so I asked him if this diagnostic is running in the background and if so if its draining battery and he has no idea finally asking me to leave it for 24hrs before escalating it.

Has anyone contacted supported and still have the "start diagnostics with apple support"?

Everytime I try to turn on "diagnostic and usage" it says "This will also turn on data collection on your Apple Watch"

So now both my watch and phone seem to be in diagnostic mode. WTF

Any suggestions will be much appreciated

he said it expires after 24hrs. if its still there I'm going to get this escalated as high as it goes. Im giving this company more money and they can't even get the support part of it correct.

No. This is 100% normal. If you try to turn diagnostics and data off on your iPhone that pop up will come up. Has nothing to do with what Apple Support did. If need be I will post the same exact screenshot but this is 100% normal.
