Wow - how generous. If you buy any Apple product, which range in price from $20 charging cables where they likely make $18 profit to $15K computers where they likely make $12K profit, they'll donate a whole $1.

This week only. Oh, and only if you use Apple Pay, because they really want to get you using that.

Unless you are donating money, save your disdain for something else.

Yes, but how much did it save him in taxes? Sure, it's great he donated 5 million, way more than I ever could, but every time I see things like this it ends up being some huge benefit in taxes to the giver, to the point where it was something they were required to do to keep more money than to pay it out in taxes.

You do not understand the tax code if you even for a second believe that when rich people give money to charity they somehow make out better than if they had not donated at all.

Anyone getting the notification of this challenge on iOS 12/watchOS 5? There’s only one day left and I’m still not seeing this challenge anywhere... I’m getting a little worried...

I am on iOS 12 and have not received any notification about this Sept challenge. Anyone with iOS 12 has the same issue? My spouse and friends on iOS 11 already have their challenge showing up and ready to get the award for tomorrow.

I guess that's the problem... I'm also on iOS 12, tried everything but still not seeing it...

Thanks for your reply. Are you in the US? Two of my workout badges are missing - the ones I completed when I was in Europe - the Earth Day 2018 (I was in Paris and completed the award) and also December 2018 Challenge (I was in London while earning the badge). I think time zone difference might have something to do with this. I live in the US and I should deserve to earn that award tomorrow!!!

This national parks challenge is global this time... so I guess it's not the time difference. I did see some people on Reddit saying that they're not seeing it on iOS 12...

I thought they would have more of these activity challenges. I think they had one in February and then the one for Earth Day. Would make sense to have one a month or something.

I also would like one a month, but there've been four so far this year, and the Sept 1st National Park challenge will bring the total to five:

  • Ring in the New Year 2018
  • Heart Month Challenge, Feb 2018
  • International Women's Day Challenge, Mar 8 2018
  • Earth Day Challenge, April 22 2018
  • National Park Challenge, Sept 1 2018

Did the 50 minute workout on iOS12/watchOS5 and it's not showing up so far. Wondering if it will show up at a later date once GM or Full release come out since I did the workout...

I did too and it’s not showing up. I’m on iOS and watch is latest beta versions. I’m hoping it will eventually appear, since I earned this badge last year.

I got this award on 9/1 using iOS 11. Today I installed the iOS 12 Public Beta and the National Park award is missing. All of my other awards are there. Has this happened to anyone?

I’ve been running the beta since before this challenge. I earned the award and took a screenshot of it on my watch but it never showed up on my phone.

Same issue. Months later after seeing the award pop up as a notification on my Apple Watch, this badge still hasn't shown up in the Activity app. I had the same issue with the recent Veterans Day Challenge badge until today and it finally showed up 3 days later. I am guessing the National Parks Challenge 2018 will never make a come back.

I have two badges missing, Earth Day 2018 and Monthly Challenge Dec 2017 badges missing. I live in the US, but I completed those badges in London and Paris. They showed up, but disappeared after iOS 12. They came back a while ago and now they are gone again. They may be some issue with time zone and they do not care about people who travel extensively. My Cellular watch plan cannot be used internationally even though I have a roaming service, for example.
