Me one! Me one!

HOLY ****!! i need to start registering domain names with "i"s in front of them guessing future apple products :D

iWhat?

But, seriously, NetSol is notorious. Think of a great domain name. Do a whois through NetSol's whois. The result is, "not found". You fail to register with someone (anyone) within a few minutes. NetSol registers and sits on it for sale until the highest bidder comes along (presumably to garner some business for the overpriced registrar NetSol itself).

The lesson? Don't use NetSol's "whois". Best bet? Use yer own bat file.

Better yet, use NetSol's WHOIS to check on undesirable names... and let them register them! The bank named "ClownPenis.Fart" from the old Saturday Night Live skit comes to mind. "It was the only domain left!"

Just crazy how much some companies pay for domain names ... (I think the record holder are still some XXX names)

Its because of the fact that some domain names only can bring you thousand of visitors e.g. pizza.com, iphone.com, travel.com, health.com...

I know once one of the competitors of the company I was working registered the .info domain of your company and he managed to get some business until finally the domain was shut down legally.

Nonetheless that gave us a lesson to book all for your business i.e .com, .biz, .net, info etc.... Its also helpful in online brand building.
