No offense. But this obsession with The Weeknd from Apple screams, ‘Taylor said no’.

Quite obviously the easiest bit of Vision Pro PR for Apple would have been to buy the last Era’s show - a piece of entertainment history - stream to Vision Pro’s and have the worlds media ‘review’ the show wearing the headset, which they would, happily.

I'd rather have classic artists for these music things.
The Weeknd has literally the biggest song in billboard hot 100 history, from the inception of the chart in 1958 until now.
Additionally, if you don’t count that, The Weeknd released his first Billboard 200 top 5 project almost 13 years ago.
Maybe not all time, but in terms of 21st century popular musicians he’s basically a “classic artist” by now.
His initial fans who were in their teens and 20s when he started are now in their 30s and 40s.

Apple could sell a ton of these things if they'd start live streaming events. If they were selling "virtual tickets" to Taylor Swift concerts and people could join in at concerts around the world, it'd be a game changer. Same thing for football or some other sport.

They could even wire up just one or two venues: "Live from Madison Square Garden", "Live from Royal Albert Hall".

Forget these "personal concert just for you" type apps, they just don't appeal to me as much.

im going into a store on thurs and asking to watch this.

i otherwise dont care for VR devices, they give me motion sickness

I did the demo a few weeks after the VPro launched. Motion sickness hit me pretty hard towards the end and I was nauseous for the new few hours.

This can’t be true as despite this being apples 3rd big immersive video in the past month I’m constantly reading that NO ONE is making them and that no one is watching them. / sarcasm.

Sounds great. With the Final Cut update wed adding spatial video to FCP and this on Friday it’s a good week to own a Vision Pro.

What could be better than watching a mediocre musician play their Apple-sanitized music through a pair of heavy goggles.
What a time to be alive!

"I Feel It Coming" is one of the greatest songs of the millennium. Put some RESPECK on The Weeknd's name 😂

Just another "immersive" demo to show off with dead ends to come.
M chip has been around for 3 years with promises of improved Mac gaming. Well it's stuck just like the old days of intel Macs? Maybe one or two AAA old, ported titles and that's about it. If it has sequels, it may or may not be available for Mac. I want launch day AAA game titles for Mac!

Office apps also DOA after all these years of Pages and Sheets app bring nothing against the venerable Office 365. Not even with M chips Mac computers.

Now this Weeknd music show, will we get these regularly, or just another one hit wonder for the Vision Pro?
Apple keeps over-promising and under-delivers when it comes to contents and third party apps. Don't get me wrong, Apple makes great hardware but with relatively few apps to work with.

To be fair: Baldur's Gate 3 and Civ 7 (will) are available on the Mac. If I just had Diablo 4 as well, I'd be happy and so would Whoopy Goldberg!

Sound doesn't just come from 2 or 5 fixed points.
