But what are they loosing that leads them to take off the PRO naming ?

It does seem deliberate. My hunch is they might be reserving "Pro" for their earbuds with heart rate monitoring, so these new Powerbeats Fit won't be getting that as a feature. As long as its gets at least a H2 chip and associated enhancements, and maybe a wireless charging case then I'd be interested.
(Maybe the above would mean a slight price cut, but that really would be wishful thinking....)

They already have 7 types of beats headphones, 5 of which are in-ear type. And they’re looking at adding another one? Some consolidation would be good. The paradox of choice is strong.

These ones would replace the Beats fit pro

I think this Powerbeats Fit will replace the Fit Pro. And will have functionality akin to the current AirPods Pro 2 plus heart rate sensing.

Will be interested, particularly if there is an improved case. My Beats Fit Pros have been great and still generally are but occasionally these days one or both fail to detect correctly that they’re in the ear. Couple of times failed to charge too. But considering how long I’ve had them they’ve been a great buy for me.

Beats targets athletes in general, plus also fashion-focused women. It’s more than black men. They also have ads with Josh Allen, Angel Reese, and Daniel Ricciardo, as well as collaborations with Kim Kardashian and other designers.
