Apple "test" ads

These just started appearing on a number of sites I visit. If you clik the bar it goes to blank page that then advises "iads" working properly.
What is this? 😡

It is a test ad that runs on IOS beta software. So I'm guessing you have a Dev build of IOS 5.1 ?

I've seen these in non-developer builds of iOS 4 and 5.

I don't think there are that many iAds in circulation here in the UK.
