I could see those colors being popular in some Asian countries where products are very colorful to begin with...

Wish they would do some color alternatives, white looks so cheap. It’s why I’ve yet to buy any. It’s hard to justify the extra cost of buying them through those 3rd party companies that provide colored versions, I’ve been tempted.

I'd love to have them in colors, even if it were just the cases.

I use sharpies to color my cases to tell them apart.

(multiple sets of AP2s for different fitness usages)
If you put a case on it, you won’t have to worry about it being white from the outside.

Also supposedly the Apple Watch SE 3 would have plastic casings like this, but it was scrapped.

White, dark blue (midnight) or black (space black) are okay, but these coloured ones look really cheap.

Good thing they didn't move forward with this idea, and likely won't ever. The white ones are sorta iconic now.

I wouldn't mind colors, but maybe not the very strong or bright ones.

Apple have various colors on their Mac's, iPhones, iPad's etc. - so they probably noted what people like. I could probably buy some midnight or gold AirPods, not likely some orange though.

But alternatives are good.

Not a fan of these. Unless they make the case out of metal, probably best stick to white.

From an engineering standpoint, form follows function. At Apple, design and engineering are all of one piece, and that's why Apple is the greatest tech company in the world. When Cook retires, I'd like to see someone who can pull together the design aesthetic obsesssion of Jobs with the engineering of Andy Hertzfeld and the business acumen of Cook. But I haven't found the tree leaders like this grow on yet.

Why always these “bad” colors? Why can’t we have saturated red, green, dark blue, black, etc…? I mean some exact colors.
