Apple Thermal paste

took apart my macbook 5.1 today....

seriously? do all macbooks get the same treatment? if so i'm taking apart my mom's air tomorrow asap. no wonder my idle was hovering around 60c

YES! Here is a pic of a old PowerBook Ti Logic Board I redid not so long ago. I have no idea why Apple does such a horrible job with there thermal paste,but even on new Mac's I redo it!

My idle is in the low 40s, From my research, I found that the applying the thermal grease does little to improve the temperature, for the most part. I say most part because there are situations where it will help.
