Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 Adapters, Do They Work On Audio Interfaces?

It hadn't even occurred to me these things wouldn't work. Tried connecting my MOTU 828x audio interface (Thunderbolt 2) to a 2017 MBP I just got and it won't be seen. Frustrating!

What are you using to POWER the interface?
A power brick? That's what you should be using, as I don't believe the cable adapters will pass enough (any?) bus power.

Have you checked MOTU for driver updates (if there are any)?

Problem resolved through tech support. Major issue was OS blocking the driver. I can post the tech support content if someone else runs into this issue later.
