I have a 27" Apple Thunderbolt Display which I've used with every MBP I've owned since 2013, and I've been using it with my 2023 Mac mini M2 Pro since December.

I'm almost always hitting or nudging the Apple Thunderbolt 3 USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 adapter when I plug/unplug stuff from the back of the Mini. This causes the display to blank out, go dim, or makes it so the speakers aren't seen as an audio out device. Some finagling the cable and it'll get back to normal.

So, I guess after so many years, the adapter might be starting to fail.

Are there any 3rd party replacements? I'm pretty sure the answer's "no" but figured I'd ask before figuring out other ways to stabilize the cable.

The Apple adapter is the best of any that might exist anymore, so just try another, or see about using a different port on the mini which might be a bit tighter.
