To be honest I dont think I need 5k I should be fine with 1440p but from those two monitors which would you recommend?
I just want a bigger screen when I use my M1 macbook pro
My basic uses are browsing, videos, chat, documents, light emulation and gaming.

UltraFine all the way. Font rendering has become awful on 2560×1440 monitors in macOS. Sad but true.

I can't understand why so many people use 27" 2560x1440 with macOS. I've tried it and it's awful, fonts are terrible.

Look at all the macsetup posts on reddit and most of them are using 1440p or some ultra wide at similarly low resolution. I can only assume these are just for show.

I would never use macOS on less than 5k @ 27"

I have the same doubt, the old Thundebolt Display is still the legit company for the macbooks, looks really beautiful, sleek and even with that bezels, looks modern with that aluminium chassi, has camera, speakers, microphone, glossy, but is low resolution, while the LG, well, crisp and clear, but ugly. What do you think?
