As one of those that didn't upgrade, it was because I was curious if the button free thing was really either an improvement or at least not a cripple. I let my friends be the crash test dummies. They like the buttonless thing, but wait! It tends to crash in the middle of a phone call. Whether it is a OS software glitch, a hardware issue or a network issue is not my concern. The fact I am not experiencing it on a V1.0 hardware design is. I am happy to be a trailing edge adopter. I went from an iPhone 1 to a 3GS to a 4S to a 8big. I am slow to update and am just fine with that. Hope I got those numbers right. Along the way I got an android Samsung burner and boy was that tragic.

Wake me when there is a phone with no buttons that doesn't crash on a phone call. Shake me when Apple listens to customers and offers a 2x battery capacity option INSIDE the case.
Many of not most people don't experience crashes during phone calls (and often even outside of calls). Having a home button or not really has no impact on something like that. And these days the buttonless interface has been fairly worked out and established, nothing to really test or anything like that.

Apple will likely beat guidance and street estimates. Look for another EPS record like last quarter. It will be interesting to see what iOS 13 looks like and where they take the A13 and A13X. This is going to be a good year for Apple.

Except the everyone will wonder where the report is for 1 year until it gets officially cancelled
Except financials are quarterly, meaning every 3 months. As in, less than the length of the AirPower delay, until it was cancelled.

AirPower wasn’t delayed for a year.

I hope they are down again in sales and revenues. Tim Apple is long over due for a much needed lessons for over priced products and zero innovation to this day.

Can’t innovate my ass - AirPower
Can't innovate lol ... dumb statement

So basically, you hope their numbers will be down to add credibility to your claims?

Yes. If I am not a iSheep rather someone with sense of reality. Then, I hope it sends a clear message to greedy Tim Apple for putting profit/investors first and consumer last with no innovation so far.

I agree that Apple’s products are grotesquely overpriced. This is the biggest reason that their sales tanked in their first quarter. When the iPhone first emerged on the scene, there was nothing else like it, and that is why it could command a premium. Now there are very capable competitors, which will keep Apple on its toes and push innovation while sending prices lower. It is a win-win for Apple as well as their customers

No, I disagree, Apple products are not overpriced. If you need some help thinking through why the products are not overpriced, you can look at the financial statements. I think a lot of people who say “overpriced” have nothing but the retail price in mind :)

If they were overpriced, their profits would suffer. Sure they could reduce hardware margins from 38% or whatever and sell for a lower retail price and sell more units and make less profit on hardware, and that could even happen, BUT, that doesn’t mean they are overpriced. Price looks to be optimized to me! $58 Billion profits last year and still increasing I think! If they were overpriced they should be in trouble, but they are not, the business is thriving and sales are brisk right?

Microsoft sold Xbox at below cost (I once heard), maybe you’d like if Apple sold at cost or below cost. It’s s different business strategy, and it would favor this current hit topic of “services” revenue growth. So you are not totally wrong maybe but I do have a feeling that most people talking about “overpriced”, really don’t have much thought behind what they say. It’s more of a “darn Lamborghini's are overpriced” kind of statement.

Please convince me that my new iPhone is “overpriced” - maybe you have some info that could convince me? I’m betting against that, but give it a whirl

Many of Apple’s products are expensive/high priced (compared to competitors).

Which does not mean at all that they’re overpriced, or “too expensive”.

1. It's a joke.
2. Who said Apple wouldn't release the other reports? The joke was that Apple wouldn't release this report while it would continue to release the other reports. Like how Apple didn't release AirPower while they released the other products AirPods with wireless charging case.

How exactly do you put profit first, without appealing to customers?

How exactly do you not know? read up a little about 2007 Apple vs current Apple--milking their product since Steve's Job passing. I love their products but I refuse to be a blind loyalist. Do look around and get out sometimes because the world is a lot bigger than Apple.
