I know this is sorta off topic but ever wonder why Apple hasn't switch their iDevice cables from USB 2.0 to USB 3.0?

It still puzzles me.

Yes, I'm sure a faster connection probably isn't necessary but it would be great.

Come to think of it, Apple must be working on getting rid of cables completely: Wireless Charging, Wireless syncing and backing up. Yeap.

That WAS way off topic, but Apple really should go with USB 3. The lightning cable is one of the big reasons I won't be giving up my Note 3 when the iPhone phablet gets here. The Note 3 does have USB 3, and aside from faster data transfers (which helps a lot when using it to shoot video that I want to edit in Premiere), the wider connector and increased number of wires in the cable means the phone charges A LOT faster.

As do many of us, I just don't see how this added to anything.. I mean, is there any reason *not* to want it to increase? I don't see how this is much more informative than telling us he hopes the sun comes out tomorrow.

If only because Apple's Q2 and Q3 earnings are generally the lowest of the year. The number to beat is year-over-year (Q3 2013), not the previous two quarters. The first quarter of the fiscal year (October-December) is nearly always Apple's biggest by a lot.

Yes of course.
Some people are short.
Also some people might want to buy on the dip.
Some people might have options to hedge short term dips.

Because it would mean everyone with a USB 2.0 port wouldn't be able to use them.

Plugging a USB 2.0 cable into a USB 3.0 port gives you faster data transfer. Just it isn't required. It'll still work with the older USB ports, just slower.

Not gay, but doesn't matter either way. Have you tried the male voice on siri? It is actually more natural sounding. Give it a go. The new female siri voice on the other hand gets left in the dust by cortana, which sounds nearly human.
