LOL

So not using it would make my opinion more valid? Talk about making sense!

Just FYI: I thought wireless charging was stupid before using one. Now I use it all the time because it's convenient. I'm happy to be wrong so I give things a try with an open mind before having a final say. That's what normal/reasonable people do.

I've thought folding phones were stupid, I then tried one with an open mind, and my earlier stance holds up. That's what's great about the 14 day return period. I get to try things risk free. Not hard to understand.

It sounds like you would be much happier had I never used one which is ridiculously stupid.
Nope, it would have made actual sense if you didn't use the word "never". You tried it and found it stupid, and that makes total sense. Saying that you bought something that you always found stupid means you are saying that you make stupid purchases. Literally. Which is also a word that I hate people constantly using incorrectly.

Tim's run as CEO, IMO, other than purely as a financial play, has been one long downhill slide

Which is the main job of the CEO.

Wait... so you bought a phone that you thought was stupid and never made sense to you, just so you could return it?

I've tried out tech that I really didn't think made sense, just to get some experience and make an informed decision. Sometimes it was, uh, no and other times yea, pretty useful.

Wrong. It never made sense to me because it...literally never did and it is still true today. There's nothing you can dispute about this.

talk about not making sense lmao

Oh god

Does this mean we won't get an iPad Mini update in the meantime?

😑
Well that sucks. I have the iPad Mini 6 and love it.

I would get the next generation iPad Mini if it didn't fold.

To mw, this entire folding thing is just a gimmick and it just means more things that can break and wear out.

Can I just say that what sets Apple apart from anyone is the scrutiny which we all place on it and its products.

People here are arguing about many of the issues with a foldable phone (and every other piece of Apple HW, SW, and services), but I doubt you'd ever see anything like that with a product from Samsung.

Why? Because no one believes Samsung is going to sweat the details, so our expectations for their products are significantly lower.

But with Apple, we nitpick every little thing and it's glorious because it means we care about the products and tools we use.

Sure, there are fan sites for Samsung and Android, but those communities are tiny compared to Apple. For instance, remember when Samsung used an existing image of the moon to make it seem like their phone had super long distance lenses to photo the moon?

Apple would have been skewered over hot coals not just on fan sites but in every major publication on earth. But when Samsung does it, the outrage was mild and best and I doubt many people even remember it now.

All I'm saying is that there's a reason for that.
Well that's not true actually, Samsung doesn't/never used "existing image of the moon to make it seem like their phone had super long distance lenses to photo the moon".
You are confusing Samsung with Huawei.
And for somebody that has first hand experience with Samsung's long range Zoom all I can say is that the hardware really is capable of taking decent pictures of the Moon for a phone, way way better than any iphone anyway.

Also Apple is just late. They are viewing foldables as a viable new revenue stream years later than other companies, that's why they don't have a device ready in the near future, they started working on it after everybody else did. But make no mistake, their fordable will just be a "me too" device.

All I'm saying is that there's a reason for that.

Yeah, lack of vision
