I would probably buy one for light photo editing on the go and for chord charts.

I would love a 13” music sheet reader. But, at the moment, 970€ for the Air is too much. A 13” base would be a no brainer, I will buy it istantly. Apple will decide if I will buy another iPad (9,7 6th gen is my daily driver) or some Samsung on sale.

A Galaxy Tab Ultra would be amazing to handle sheet music, but the price...

This is great news, especially for education. I work in an Apple Distinguished District, and more RAM and storage are the two biggest issues that make these devices feel old. There actually are some battery issues going on with the 6th-9th gens also.

I can see it already. About a month from now, "New Low-Cost 11-inch iPad May Not Launch in the Spring After All."
I think Mark Gurman just has a big wheel labelled "Spring, Summer, Fall, Delayed" and spins it whenever he feels like it.

Really don't understand the decision to launch the recent iPad with an A16 chip rather than an A18. The only possible reason I can think if it that the US foundry churning out A16 chips that need to go somewhere, but if that model is going to be replaced with an AI-capable A18 model a year later, would it not have been better to launch the A18 model this year and leave it in place for 2 years and be able to say with the launch of the iPhone 17 that all Macs, iPads & iPhones were now capable of running Apple Intelligence?

That is one reason regarding A16 production in America. Another reason which is also obvious is the fact that the iPad Mini has the A17 Pro, and because that came out first no way Apple will give 11th gen iPad A18 especially since iPad Mini 6 came out alongside the iPad 9 and later the 10 which Mini 6 has better CPU,

Even the iPad Mini 5 with its A12 which was released months before 7th gen iPad and that had an A10

I don't have any knowledge about Apple Chip in iPad.
Is true that A16- A18 chips are bad ?
If this iPad is cheap then It will be one of my options in future .

Would not be surprised if the two model numbers are for two screen sizes. Not too sure whether different memory sizes/options have different model numbers. At least seeing that the existing models have some very nice colors, hoping that the next models too will continue to have them.

What? The company updating to new tech just means new buyers will get better tech, reflecting what is currently available - it doesn't mean that everyone with last year's model needs to go out and buy the new one.
Sure buddy
