OK, as long as Apple is charging you 50 bucks extra for the server bits - it lives.

I misread the earlier reports and thought that that "server" was just some optional bits of the standard 10.7 kit.

30 bucks extra. (v. $380 for SL server, I believe?)

So, reading between the lines, it appears that you'll have to pay $30 to upgrade your core OS to Lion, then $50 to add the server bits.

The "How to buy Lion Server" makes a point of specifying "Download OS X Lion and Lion Server from the Mac App Store", separating the two bits.

My 5 cents..

1. Software: I am sad to see that both apple and windows take the touch too heavy over on the PC/MAC.. I use my Mac and PC a totally other way then i use my iphone and ipad.. I cant imagine to trade stocks using touch.. a keyboard and a mouse does this job faster.. in some business work i cant see how you get more effective with touch.. there’s just no way.. to melt this 2 systems together will mean a lot of trouble.. i think there should be 2 different software’s one for touch and one for mouse/keyboard..

2. Hardware: I think Intel has apple, samsung and other pressure to make CPU for tablets... all the firms like samsung, apple and so on make their own tablets, ipads and galaxies and such... it can very well be a transition to intel for iphone and ipad in some years.. Netboards like iPad now take more and more market share and PC sales drop.. i guess it stabilizes out and make a fine 2 software opportunity. Also i think intel will have to focus more on smaller devices since the PC market lose some momentum.. but i can see a business/pro(mouse/keyboard) / home/touch/tablets/ipad (touch) thing going on for a while stabilizing on close to 50 50 market shares
