Looks like those iOS devs can have any band they want.
As long as it's blue.

This was IMO the problem to begin with. Apple should have sold the bands and the watch seperately. I would not be surprised if the last minute assembly is causing the delays. And switching bands now makes sense because giving back the watch and then waiting another 6 months for the replacement would be horrible.
That was my first thought (because I would have done the same), but the wording leaves room for doubt.
Black isn't an option for the silver sport watch face (unless ordered seperately). I'm curious as to how they'll approach it.
Let me simplify for you:
If you ordered a (say) 42mm Sport Watch in aluminum + blue band and
1) there was a mistake in packaging and you got a white band
or
2) you really wanted a pink band
Then instead of returning the entire watch & band, they just give you the band you want.
If you just want to return the whole thing, then the 14-day return period applies.
See -- not so hard, was it?
Did you remove links from the link bracelet to size it properly? So does this mean I can cancel my sports Band that I ordered separately. Turn in my Classic Buckle for a Sports Band and get $100 back?
I ordered the 42 mm SS Watch with Classic Buckle for sizing reason (215 mm). I measure right at 210 mm. But I tried both the Link and Sports band at the store and they fit loose. I bought them separately and was going to cancel if they didn't fit.
That's cool.... The modern buckle I order for my fiancée she may not like.... This is good to know
If the band you're swapping out for is worth less than the band you paid for, are they refunding you the difference?
Band has to be in same band family

Read the article has to be same kind of band, like sport for sport and so on

Apple was never going to do that. Yeah technically you can wear the milanese loop with silver sport watch but Apple would never actively encourage it. To be honest I cringe when I see sport watch with stainless steel band combinations. I don't think it looks nice at all; it looks just mishmashed.

IMO, in person it does look a bit mismatched, but it won't bother some people.
That's not what I meant. I am in agreement with you. What I meant is that Apple could have stacked the watch inventory seperately from the band inventory. They could still enforce the specific combinations but intsead of assembling them together before shipping could have simply shipped two boxes. This would have been faster or in store let the sales clerk put them together. Waiting to recieve the order to then put the band on the watch, package it up and finally ship it just isnt working.
Hopefully they will easily just let me return my black classic buckle then, I already ordered a Milanese loop since I changed my mind
