Yes, I agree with you 100%.

it's too bad that Apple has to resort to these measures when they've got billions in the bank.

Supreme greed brought out the worst in Apple. Combined with the old CEO'S burning desire for dominance in the sector at all cost, Apple couldn't hide out without getting caught.

Now with the cooler more collected Tim Cook at the helm, Apple is bound to settle down and act grown up.

This is not the very definition of predatory pricing, if so, the French government would have sued for that and not fined for free shipping.

I'm sorry if this is a language issue, but the French government and the EU competition agency never have said that Amazon is engaging in predatory pricing.

Yes they did, Amazon was found guilty of violating the 1981 Lang law in France by no fewer then 4 courts, that law is all about preventing predatory pricing of books in France. If you are found to be in violation of a law to prevent predatory pricing, guess what? You are carrying out predatory pricing. I don't know why this is so hard for you.

this case or any other with apple in the last few years. i must say i find the blame it on the dead guy routine both insulting to him and to us as consumers

tim cook was not only a top executive but also filled in for jobs when he was on sick leave and we are supposed to believe this is against his ideology?

case in point. the forceful automatic update from ios6 to ios7 happened under cook and not jobs
