It is exactly this type of thought process that makes me love Apple as a company. I hope this will start a movement by other large corporations.

Yeah, it's a good option (I was obviously just being silly above). Geez, last thing I bought in a store was a band for my wife and the bag was a larger size that was just totally unnecessary.

Oh no!

Am I the only one here who LOVES the current bags? I use them for just about everything. I must own over 30 of them lol.
The current bags are a stylish reminder of Apple's capabilities. Sadly the companies desire to pander to the liberal progressive base, causes them to cave into the restrictions of a politically olitically correct stance.

I recall white (glossy) paper bags with a red apple logo on them. This was at one of the first retail stores in NJ at the time, so this is a while back. I also recall the blue bags with a white logo, before the current white bags. Either way, nice of them to ween themselves off the plastic bags.

This news hurts me as much as it did when the new MacBook got rid of the lighted logo. It really hurts!

But as long as the paper is cool and I can use it to wrap my books and other crap. Then I guess it'll be okay?

This is great news, a lighter AND thinner bag. It is not upgradable, but biodegradable.
I just couldn't bare more than two pages without this kind of responses. And before I go to bed, Steve.....yawn....

It's a good thing to happen, but I'll miss it a little. I'm sure some people will be a little upset when they don't get that bag anymore.

Here in England a carrier bag has cost 5p since October (rightly so), and elsewhere in the UK the charge has been in for longer. I think a lot of other countries also charge for bags (Canada, Australia etc), hopefully this is Apple driving change in the USA and elsewhere.

I'm not a green warrior whatsoever but I like and support this. I even signed a local petition to ask my city council to pass ordinances to have grocery markets stop using plastic bags. It makes sense to me.
