I’m sure Apple will do a great job. And good given their dominance in the US phone market, that will make them an important player in cellular standards going forward.

It's a completely ridiculous idea, though. 6G isn't due for at least 8 years, though realistically I expect it'll be longer than that. They're not holding up for that.

Actually, it’s thought that it may come sooner than later. 5G has been disappointing, and almost all of the 6G protocalls have been agreed upon. That was much quicker than the agreements for 4G and 5G.
