Apple to Stop Accepting Updates to watchOS 1 Apps on April 1, 2018

Still using original Apple watch here and love it as much as I did first day it came out. Will only upgrade to series 4, hoping for perhaps a bit of design changes to it.

Same here. At some point my series 0 will die...hopefully after series 4 is released.

I have a Series 0 but I'm going to have to upgrade very soon. The battery is horrible and despite bringing it to Apple twice (claiming it's fine), I don't think it'll stick around much longer. While I understand it's a computer, I hope we're not having to get new watches every 2-3 years.

Nah, can't see that happening anytime soon. Apple products usually last quite long time. Still have couple of mates who use iPhone 4s.

Some developers have been stubbornly sticking with it. August locks still require an iPhone to work. August got tired of people asking when they'd update to native watchOS and they just started ignoring any questions about it.
