Other Apple trade in?

So how does the trade in happen with apple? My 12 pro max is paid off and apple is offering 790 for mine. So I pay the full price and they send me all but 310 back? How long does the credit take and how is it processed to me?

You'll pay full price for your new phone. Once you ship your old phone back to their trade-in partner, and it passes their evaluation, they'll credit your original payment type for the price they offered you. If you happen to pay by an Apple Gift Card, they will pay you back in Apple credit.

I'm trading in my 12 Pro Max as well. Apple gave me an instant credit of $790 towards my 13 Pro Max and they're supposed to be sending me a box to return my 12 Pro Max. I could have opted to trade my 12 Pro Max in store but I wanted to see if I could try to sell my phone for more than what Apple has offered to me for trade in value. I wasn't able to sell it in such a short period of time so I'll ship it off to Apple for trade in.

It’s instant credit if you finance I believe, if you pay it in one shot you have to wait for the rebate

All these traded in iPhones will get refurbished by Apple with a new battery, display and outer shell - then sold to another customer who will be very happy to get it. So that’s kind of a nice feeling.

I was thinking of selling mine..had it listed on Swappa and someone bought it then canceled within an hour..I doubt I’ll get more than the 790 apple quote so why bother
