Going to trade in my US 15PM @ my local UK Apple Store when I go to pick up my 16 Pro. I don't really trust sending my phone via the mail especially a US model. Even Apple suggested it's better to do it at the store.

I'm from Italy and I could only trade in my iPhone online, here in Italy they had no problems shipping it

After getting a low value for a perfect trade in phone, I'll never send it into Apple's 3rd party company.

Now I just use eBay or OfferUp or Mercari to sell.

When I pre ordered my 14PM from Apple, I stated pickup at store and trade in, but for some reason it processed as shipment to my home Is there anything I can do to make sure this doesn’t happen again ? As I would really like to pre order and trade in at the Apple Store.

If I select no trade in and pickup at Apple Store but trade in my IPhone at the store would I lose a credit on my purchase price via a gift card which I don’t want. Thanks.

I’m aware they are like cash but I was referring to getting a trade in discount at Apple Store for pickup. Apple Cash gift card won’t be any good to me of if I can’t use it against my iPhone 16 purchase. If you see what I mean ?
Here is what I did 2 years ago. I ordered a new phone online and paid in full via credit card. A few days later, I went into the Apple Store and told them I wanted to return the new iPhone and then repurchase it using my old iPhone as a trade in plus 3 gift cards I had. No problem doing so and I will do this again this cycle.

Just take it to the Apple Store and tell them trade in on your new device. They can check order and apply. No gift card. Done it already.

Quick Trade In Question.

Got 420 in an Apple Gift Card.
Will be paying another 600ish in Cash.

Trading in my iPhone 15PM as part of the order. I know I have to pay the full iPhone 16 cost first hence the above.

Do we know if Apple will give me the 15PM tradein value on a gift card or to my bank? If I do store pickup, I'm assuming they'll just either issue the tradein credit to my bank card or reduce the cost of the iPhone16 by the trade in value?

I will never ever use the mail in service again. In store trade in only. They assess the phone in front of you. I had once a perfectly fine MacBook mailed to whatever company Apple is using. They assessed it as broken display. Had it mailed back. 3 yrs later still works strong for my kid.

I just did a mock order and trade in for an iPhone 15PM for pickup at my local Apple Store. It shows in my bag ultimately as still "shipping" back my old iPhone 14PM and not trading it at the store where Im picking up the iPhone 15PM. Damn.

Past few years I’ve been trading in with . I go grab the new one, get it home, set it up and make sure it works fine. Over the next few days, I take the old one in and trade it in and get a credit back to my original form of payment.

You can still take it to the  store and trade it in despite the, shipping you a trade in box. Had this happen last year. You’ll still get an email or two reminding you to mail in your old phone even after you’ve taken it in.

I traded in an iPhone 13 when I purchased my 15. I accepted an offer from Apple and was surprised to find I was paid 100GBP MORE than the offer. Very happy. Have used Apple trade-in three times very successfully. In UK...

That’s exactly what I do.

If you pre-order the phone w/ Apple Card's 0% for 24 months, can I still take my trade in to an Apple store for credit against the Apple Card ??

How do you achieve this. Getting a credit put on your original order ? This is the area that I was inquiring about. I read you get a gift card generally speaking.
