I’m a bit tired of all this “censor” Apple applies to make everything so politically correct. I know this message is going to receive a lot of downvotes but this time I’ll understand it, because it is a controversial comment. Even if MR deletes it, yeah, I can understand.

That said, it feels certainly silly when I try to type (swiping) swearing words on iOS 14 and Apple has forbidden many words and pair of words to appear in the suggestions, thus, making it impossible to use those words by swiping, both in English and Spanish. It feels childish, at least let us disable it if we want! (There are people over 18yo using Apple devices too). And no, including those words into the dictionary no longer works like it did on iOS 13.

On the device engravings I can understand the decision to an extent. But with the iOS keyboard and other areas, I cannot get it.
This isn’t Apple. Try to get “creative” with your license plate and see how far you get. I’m a bit tired of people thinking they have the inherent right to force entities to do whatever they want.

Bake the cake bigot...

I do feel that Apple should have final say.

*sigh* Here we go again.
Free speech refers to government limitations not private entity limitations.

Stupid or not ( and I lean towards it being stupid on this one) it’s got nothing to do with freedom of speech.
Free expression? – Who is that company that they can tell me what I can write and what not? (Aside from technical limitations.)

Ultimately, however, you can also freely choose not to buy their products. What am i gonna do. Not only because of this one stupidity but because of many other of these made by Apple.

dubiously
Man, y’all really love that word, don’t you? 😂

In any case, this sucks. Why take part of the goofy fun out of a product? I remember back when the Touchbar MacBooks came out in 2016. As disappointed as a lot of folks were, people were making memes with Nyan Cat running across the bar. Why restrict stuff like that, even if it’s not always kid friendly? Does Apple not like fun?

What if I want to tag the shovel in my stable?

They promote the hell out of the poo emoji. They provide tools to turn your face into a pile of poo. But somehow they drew a line at horse poo. Congrats Apple

Many ways around this.

What is the best place to start if I wanted to establish the word "apple" and apple-symbols as internet jargon for e.g. dubious sexual activities?

Agree. This is becoming ridiculous. People will say that Apple has right on their system to limit, but when corporations have the power of entire countries, the limitation of speech is still being done and not ok. It’s just the influencing power is called a “corporation” and not a “state” or “country.” REMEMBER much evil and harm has been done throughout history in the name of “we know better.” Unintended Evil done with good intention (and poor knowledge of repeating) history is still evil.

It probably just translates emojis to text. Therefore 🐴💩 returns "*********" which is probably blacklisted. However will be fine 🦄💩. Just a guess.

EDIT: It's even blacklisted here, so there you go.
