That might have been Ronald Wayne. His prediction only cost him around $60B in personal net worth.

Where's the 40th Anniversary Mac (FAM)??
And yet Steve Jobs decided this non-vision accountant was the right man to lead Apple once he was gone. Are you saying then that really Steve was the one without vision?
What is amazing is that I have been around for the entire ride. I got the Apple ][ as a kid in 79 i think and have been an Apple fan ever since. I guess that makes me a fart as well.![]()
How many old timers here can say they've been along for the ride from the start.![]()
Beer bashes are and old Silicon Valley tradition going back at least to the 50s. Comes from the keg tapping parties in colleges where new college graduates brought it in. Insurance for serving alcohol at company events is cheap and any good insurance broker can make it happen for a song.Wish my company did that.
Johy Ive has taken the helm of "Apple vision" from Steve Jobs. Was told he was the driving force on the look on the Apple Watch. The reality is that Tim Cook doesn't have 1/10th the vision Steve Jobs had.
No, they aren't.Five years after Steve Job's exit, things are looking a bit unfocused at Cupertino now.
Some commenters here post as if Apple made no missteps during Jobs' prodigal return.
It's not round, fire Ive now! /sBeer bashes are and old Silicon Valley tradition going back at least to the 50s. My comments stand, not your interpretation of them.
just wondering why 666.66?

And my comment stands. Those who think Tim Cook is the wrong guy to lead Apple...there's only one person to blame and that's Steve Jobs who recommended Cook succeed him as CEO. Trouble is Steve's dead so who's going to "fire" Tim and replace him with a "visionary"? The board? What cause would they have to do so?

Tim Cook isn't a vision guy. Tim Cook is an accountant, and he's probably not a good fit for the job. I'm willing to stipulate he has impeccable moral clarity, but I don't think he's product oriented per se.
