Apple TV 2 vs 3

What is the advantage to 3rd Gen over 2nd Gen?
Is Airplay better and is it quicker overall? Airplay is horrible between my iPhone 6 and the 2nd Gen.

I'm thinking it might make sense to sell the 2nd Gen and get a 3rd - for that matter as they're worth so much more because they can be jailbroken, I might be able to get 2 3rd Gen's.

Major difference is the 3 does 1080P, the 2 only does 720P.

The other major difference is the Gen 2 can be hacked Gen 3 not as easy. Gen 2 on ebay sell for more then double the new price. Jailbroken AppleTV2 can bring u up to $300 for a used one and unjailbroken AppleTV2s can bring u $130 to $200 used. You can hardly get over $75 for a new appleTV3 on ebay.
So if u do upgrade sell your used AppleTV2 on ebay and you will make enough to buy a new AppleTV3 as well as a few itunes cards to go with it

3rd gen supports peer to peer AirPlay (so long as you get the 2013 model). It may or may not be a great deal to you depending on your needs.
