Apps Apple TV 2nd Generation & Disney+

Will the Disney+ App show up on a 2nd Generation Apple TV “box”. I know it’s a bit different than the newer ones...trying to see if my kids can use an older unit for now...thanks in advance for your answers.

I have read several reports in the last few days stating such.

Thanks guys. Guess we will find out soon!!! I assume they willnpush it through at some point since the older generations don’t have the App Store on them?

I had a 2nd Gen and discarded it - nothing worked so you might be out of luck.

I know the 3rd Gens will probably as AppleTV+ is available for it...

According to Disneyplus.com you need a 4th Gen:

Supported Apple TV models

Disney+ supports the following Apple TV devices running on tvOS 16 and later*: Apple TV HD (4th generation or later) Apple TV 4K Download the Disney+ app

Airplay is a bit of a kludge, I hope it comes to the ATV3 natively...Or there's a huge price drop for 4's
