Apple TV 4 - Bricked from Factory?

We ordered an ATV4 (our 3rd) from Apple and received it on Thursday. Went to plug it in today, and it just rapidly blinks - nothing is on the screen.

Do I have any options other than buying a USB-C cable to attempt to factory reset my brand new device or returning it to Apple?

Your best bet would be to contact AppleCare tech support, they may be able to walk you through some sort of non-standard reset. At the very least, they'll provide the best option for proceeding.
