I have the latest update on a new Apple tv 4 and cannot get HBO NOW to work. According to an ebook I bought to show how to set it up, I should be able to go to Series, click on the series I want and a details page shows 3 options at the bottom, + Add Watchlist being one of them. It is not, I have 2 options but not Watchlist. Anybody getting Watchlist to work on their ATV 4?

I was frustrated with HBO Watchlist and decided I did not watch enough shows to make it worth while.

I do watch a lot of TV Shows on Hulu (no commercials) and CBS All Access (no commercials) and also on HBO, Showtime, Netflix etc. To manage all of this I use the WatchAid App for a Universal Watch List. Great App.

What show are you trying to add to your Watch list? I have HBO GO right now, but I had HBO NOW in the past, and I believe they are set up pretty much the same.

The "+Add to Watchlist" is there if the show is current, but might now appear for episodes that are not yet available. (It wasn't there for Big Little Lies last week, but it is there now that an episode is available).

One Series I was trying to add was Game of Thrones. I have no option to add it to my Watchlist. It does show up in the TV App under Up Next so I will have to live with that. I was just trying to build a Watchlist so I could choose what I wanted to watch within HBO NOW

That's odd. I have noticed on new episodes that aren't yet available, the +Add to Watchlist won't be there, but I think all the GOT episodes are available. Does your screen look something like this?

A different problem I've had with the watchlist.. the last few times I tried adding a show to mine, it would just add the one episode, not the entire series. Is this how it's supposed to be?

Looks exactly like that EXCEPT I dont have that far left + Add Watchlist, I have the other two selections only.

We tried to watch a show that we had added to our Watchlist a few months ago, it wouldn't even allow us to select it for playing. It was there but the Apple Remote would not move to it.

Oh yes, I can select from the one (correct) episode showing in Up Next or go the long way thru the HBO NOW app, selecting Series>Game of Thrones>Episode I want, click to select and it plays fine, in 1080p and 5.1 (I have ATV connected to receiver). Just no option for Watchlist.

That doesn't seem right. You might try restarting the Apple TV. If that doesn't work, maybe contact HBO NOW support (if you use Twitter you can reach them at @HBONowHelp).

I now see that I do have the ability for + Add to Watchlist on the HBO NOW App on my iPad and then it shows in the ATV HBON Watchlist. The HBON app auto downloaded to the ipad after requesting it to load on the ATV. But it only allows an episode to be added to watchlist and not the Game of Thrones series. And maybe that's just how it works and I'll just get used to it. Thanks much to all who offered advice!

Yes, I think that's how it's designed. You can only add an episode to the watchlist, not the whole series. I think the Apple TV app is nice because it will automatically show "Up Next" when you add a series. Glad you found a solution that works for you.
