Apple TV 4 - Playing downloaded iTunes Movies...

So Im trying to play purchased iTunes movies via Home Sharing, I have the movies downloaded via iTunes on my Mac and im trying to play them via Homesharing on my Apple TV, however I get an error saying "This content can't be played on this Apple TV". Surely it can?

Haha, there’s no option to play downloaded movies within the movie app, you can only stream.

I’ve seen that error pop up if my iMac needed to be reauthorized to play purchased videos. Make sure the video plays fine in iTunes. Then turn Home Sharing off and back on.

Thanks for this, it’s fixed! I had to deauthorize then reauthorize iTunes on my computer. Now it works thanks!!
