I've just read the rumors that could confirm my thoughts: "@MacRumors: An unconfirmed source says Apple is already shooting "Shot on iPhone in 4K" ads in Iceland, South Africa, and Australia.".
I think we're going to see a 4k combo in the next keynote (iphone 6s/6s plus and new Apple TV).
It would be perfect, and Apple tv with apps(obviously, I'd choose this if I had to choose between apps and 4k) and future-proof. They could release a good source of 4k content now, when 4k tvs start to be affordable to many people. What do you think about it?

This would be pretty cool.

Personally, I give it 30% odds though. Based on how late Apple was to the 1080p party, and how bad the current 1080p compression in the iTunes Store is due to the bandwidth limitations of streaming high-resolution content, I don't think 4k is likely in AppleTV.

Though, if that happens, I might be in for a 4k TV upgrade sooner than I thought :)

This. I think 30% is generous. 4K TVs are slowly gaining steam, but haven't truly proliferated the market yet, and 4K content is practically non-existent outside of a few internet services (and you need consistently good bandwidth to adequately leverage them).

I don't know that it will come with 4K live with content, but I do think the delay was because of the 4K standard so they could build it 4K ready.

I'd love to see it. There is already some content that would be available right out of the gate with Netflix and Youtube.

However a member above gave it 30%, I'll give it it 20% and I feel like thats being generous.
