Apple TV (4th Gen) Sporadic Behavior While Switching It Off (Stopped Turning Off the TV)

I got a new Apple TV last Friday. Everything had been working fine up until last night when I noticed that switching off the Apple TV didn't turn off my TV. I had to switch it off and back on again a couple of times in order to register that. Turning off the TV manually wakes up the Apple TV.
This morning I got the same thing. Restarting the device hasn't solved the issue.
Has anybody else experienced that?
