Apple TV (4th Gen) switches TV off

Hello,

Got a 4th Gen Apple TV and when I switch it off, it also switches my LG TV off. Any idea how to stop this from happening?

just out of curiosity what button are you pressing to switch it off? haven't played with mine for 100% yet and I would find this handy

Just Menu - Settings - Sleep Now.

the only thing I can think of settings> remote see if you can have a play around in that department

There should be a setting in your TV to change this from happening. Check under CEC settings or something similar. They are labeled CEC settings on my TV.

Yes, what JackieInCo said. There are options for devices to control each other via HDMI. I had issues with my Pioneer receiver which was turning off when I put the ATV4 to sleep. It's probably called "SimpLink" in your TV menu settings.
