Apple TV (American in UK)

I'm able to pick up an Apple TV in the states (£100/$200 cheaper!), but I'm unsure about the power supply and whether it will work here properly or not.

I gathered the Apple TV uses a figure-of-8 plug, so I assume there must be some sort of voltage control inside the Apple TV (UK is 240v)?

Apparently it works just fine, just switch the lead to a UK one. The power supply is auto-switching.
