Apple TV and Apple TV App Question

I have the 4th Gen Apple TV and the new Apple TV app, But when I open the app it always see's my 3rd gen Apple TV upstairs but it always shows the new one in our living room as "Offline" until I manually turn it on using the actual remote. I don't recall having this issue when using iOS9, it would always allow me to use the app to turn on 4th gen one. Anyone else having this issue or has anyone been able to find a resolution?

You've got to go in to remotes section of the Apple TV and add it there.

It displays a code for me to type on the phone which I did that, is that what you mean?

I have the same problem and still have no solution. Is your ATV4 network connection wired or wireless?
