Apple TV and iTunes Not Loading Artwork from External HD

I have a bunch of movies on a big external HD and I use connect it to my Macbook Pro to stream them to my Apple TV. I used iFlicks to convert all these files and embed the artwork but when I'm searching through all of them on my Apple TV, none of the artwork loads. Only the text, like actors, director, etc. Is there any way to fix this?
