Apple TV and ITUNES

iTunes preferences now fails to show my apple tv icon when I click the apple TV link at the top of the page (next to devices). It has worked in the past OK. I have restarted apple tv and reset all settings. I have reinstalled Tunes 8(2) with no effect. Any suggestions please.

I've had this issue and others have as well. Best you can do (that I know of) is to disconnect your ATV from your library and reconnect it.I did not stream to ATV, I sync'd. Therefore it would say that my content on the ATV would be erased. It didn't happen that way for me but fair warning.

I've decided to put it on e bay!!!!!

Well that is up to you but frankly there is a fix. It never happened to me more than two times over the course of 1 year and 3 months of owning one, but to each is own. 😉

I don't have a solution but stopped to say your not alone with the issues since updating to iTunes 8.2. I hope everyone is submitting the information to the below links

I've never had any issues with my 2 aTV's till I updated. Now I can't keep them sync'd for more than 20 minutes.
