I manage two iPads for my kids, each of which had a bunch of movies downloaded for them in the :apple:TV app. The iPads were recently updated to iOS 13 (now 13.2) and today one of the kids brought their iPad to me and asked "where are my movies?" I could not find the app on the iPad, so I opened the App Store thinking maybe it was somehow deleted, but instead it gave me the option to "Open" the app. When launched through the App Store, it opened up and all of the downloaded movies were there. So there is no icon to launch it, and the App Store shows it as already being installed (plus rummaging through Settings, the movies are definitely still on the HD). I am not aware of an option to "hide" the app icon, and am not sure what could have happened to it. I checked the other iPad and it is having the same issue. I turned both iPads off and on but the icon didn't appear. Suggestions?

Problem resolved. Go to Settings-Screen Time-Content & Privacy Restrictions and turn it off and the app appears again.

Did that setting change when you updated those devices?
I had some restrictions on the iPad already due to their being for kids, but the Apple TV app (and others) still were available. It is unclear whether the switch to iOS 13 changed how the general setting affected them as the setting had been in place for some time. It could be a change in functionality from Apple or Apple could have switched the full restriction on by default.
