Apple TV app on Samsung Smart TV?

I have a Samsung Smart TV with built-in Apple TV.

I am trying to find and install Apple TV apps through it. Is this possible please? When I go to Search in the Apple TV app, all I can see are TV shows and movies.

I have the Apple TV app built into my TV too. What you’re wanting to do is not possible because there is no “App Store” app like on the real Apple TV.

To add to what perezr10 said, one is an app and one is an operating system. AppleTV is the app, and tvOS that comes on an Apple TV box is an interface that provides the App Store to add channels, apps and games. You can only have the app on a smart TV without an Apple TV box, but you can have the Apple TV app on an Apple TV box.

I think even if Apple wanted to allow more than streaming of moves and TV shows, it would be very difficult because the processors in TVs are nowhere near as powerful as what is in the Apple TV.

The ATV 4K has an A10X chip which was in the 2017 iPad Pro. The A10X isn’t king of the hill any more but it’s light years better than the wimpy processors in your average TV. I hate using the Apple TV app which is built into my 2019 Vizio TV because it is nowhere near as smooth and snappy as my Apple TV.

I know this is an Apple forum, but does anyone know of a free IPTV app for the Samsung Smart TV please? The couple I've downloaded are free to download, but then you need to subscribe just to use the app! Thank you.

FYI, the Apple TV A10X Has a 6-core CPU and 12-core GPU with 4GB of RAM. It was far faster than 8-core Android phones let alone 4 core TV chips from 2018.
