Apple TV+ app on smart tv

So we have a smart TV, Sony. It has the Google Play store on it. I know the Apple TV+ app is now in the Google Play store, but I can’t find the Apple TV+ app in the Google Play store on my TV. Is there anything I can do? Is it because I’m in the UK? It’s frustrating because Netflix & Disney+ are there plus various sports TV apps.

My Sony AF9 OLED is listed as meant to have the apple TV app but it doesn't have it
It really Annoying that i have to use an ATV box or Amazon firestick even with a TV that they listed as having the APP

One these huge companies is lying to us

Are you sure, it was released back in November from what I can see over at AVForums. Came with TV update firmware version v6.4960.

The Disney plus and Apple TV apps are not on my AF9 (even with the latest firmware installed )
None of them two apps are even available on any of my Android mobile phones (Samsung note 8, note 9 & S9)
Android sucks big time, My next mobile phone going be an apple one for sure
