After browsing through the app store many times, I can clearly say that I am terribly disappointed with the app content as Apple doesn't have enough streaming apps as well as a poor search built in to view the apps.

This is Apple giving some hard time for the developers. I wish they turn on the Top Charts tab as well as refine the search experience. I was expecting VLC, Plex to turn up before the App Store went live.

With the current App store design, its simply going to drive the Dev folks insane...

It's not really Apples fault if there's a lack of any, or any kind of app, it's purely down to the developers (and that's speaking as one.) I was really hoping Plex would have made the cut for launch but at least it's coming.

The AppStore won't stay the way it is just now, it's probably a combination of them pushing the apps they want to for the launch period and hiding the fact that there isn't a massive amount of high quality apps available yet.

I am happy with the apps available and I know even more good ones will be available in the future. People need to be patient. Rome wasn't built in a day. I can tell you this much their are already way more creative apps on this tv platform than any platform.

Can you guys access this.
My App Store still doesn't show the sections.

Yes, I'm seeing the Top Charts section now.

I'm curious, if you turn automatic updates off for apps, how can you tell when an update is available and then download the update? I've always liked to manually update apps on my other iOS device so I can hold off just in case there are bugs in an update.

If it works similar to apple tv 3, then you will get a pop up at some point that will let you know that there is an update. At least that's what I remember. Most of the time I have automatic updates turned on. The other option is you can manually check once a week or something.

I was disappointed that not all my photos and videos were available on the new Apple TV. The photos app needs an update!

I changed this selection in iTunes from "All photos and albums" to "Selected Albums" then checked "All Albums" below that and I can see all my photos from Photos.

i guess if I wanted a game console I would be thrilled with my new apple tv box- i was looking forward to watching live tv-- NOT - this apple tv is far far away from being a "tv" - very disappointed in the content- I'm not interested in paying $4.99 for a screen shot of a fire place- waiting for some good live tv apps.
